The Children’s Cabinet strategic plan for 2020-2023 focuses on addressing the significant needs in the early childhood sector to achieve our vision that all Rhode Island children enter kindergarten educationally, social-emotionally, and developmentally ready to succeed, putting them on a path to read proficiently by 3rd grade.

Children’s Budget
The Children’s Cabinet develops a comprehensive children’s budget each year. Since 2018, in partnership with the Office of Management and Budget, the Children’s Cabinet has undertaken a scan of all spending across Cabinet agencies to identify funds spent on children & youth by desired outcome area as defined in the Children’s Cabinet strategic plan.
