Pursuant to R.I.G.L. §42-72.5 (1-3), the Children’s Cabinet is authorized to engage in interagency agreements and appropriate data-sharing to improve services and outcomes for children and youth, discuss all issues related to children and youth across state agencies, prepare a shared strategic plan, and develop a coordinated children’s budget. As the Cabinet pays special attention to the wellbeing and education of Rhode Island’s children, the Governor asked Womazetta Jones, Secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services, to serve as chair, and Angélica Infante-Green, Commissioner of Elementary & Secondary Education, to serve as vice chair.
Kayla Rosen, Director of Early Childhood Strategy & Children’s Cabinet Policy Director, facilitates the Cabinet. Please reach out at kayla.s.rosen@governor.ri.gov
